Nevada Paralyzed Veterans of America received its charter in 1999 covering Nevada and part of Utah from our headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada. We closley follow activities in the Las Vegas clinics and the Reno VAMC Spinal Cord Injury Clinics. Each year we donate money to meet specific needs in each of the VAMC's located in Las Vegas and Reno.

Nevada Chapter is a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America that was chartered in 1946. After WWII the life expectancy for the spinal cord injured was two years. The veteran faced many hardships including no accessibility to public places, inadequate follow up health care, and almost no prosthetics equipment. The Paralyzed Veterans of America was founded to correct these and many other problems faced by the spinal cord injured and diseased veterans.
